Girona #ledomtours Style
Our recent work with The Peloton Brief and sponsorship of Season Two of the Real Talent With Phil Gaimon Podcast gave birth to an idea. Based out of Girona in northern Spain, The Peloton Brief is a collective designed to feature and provide a platform for a growing group of professional cyclists with personality.
Girona of course has a long and storied history when it comes professional cycling. Lance Armstrong was famously based there for a large part of his career (you can take a behind the scenes look at his infamous apartment thanks to Manual For Speed, Here), together with a disproportionate number of other pros including David Millar, Dan Martin, George Hincapie and many more.
So why is this relatively small Spanish town so popular? We thought we should find out, so with the help and assistance of The Peloton Brief, we designed the perfect taste of the pro cyclist lifestyle. Three nights, three days of riding, two guided by Dimension Data Pro and all round great guy Nathan Haas (you can hear some of Nathan’s Pro Peloton antics in a special podcast he and Phil Gaimon recorded for Le Domestique, Here), a brilliant end of tour meal hosted by Nathan and of course, a fantastic 4* hotel in the centre of the beautiful old town.
To say our guests had a fantastic time would be an understatement and you can find out more below thanks to our photo essay and highlight videos, but needless to say, riding the world famous Rocacorba having ridden to the base of the climb with special guest Dan Martin, together with Nathan, is likely to remain with everyone for a long time!
